Pure Barre: Flatirons Vol. 1: Ballet, Dance, Pilates Fusion Workout

Not what I expected
I thought this workout would be more dance involved. The workout was rather difficult and definitely not for beginners. I wouldn't recommend this DVD to anyone that isn't in shape already because the workout goes fast. I felt like the workout went too fast. There wasn't enough time to figure out what move they were doing before they were on to the next one. Also, it is difficult to do at home because it requires a ledge and wall to use that some people might not have access to in their home. This DVD is not for just anyone so make sure you know what you are getting into before purchasing it. If you are already in shape then this DVD would probably be best for you, but if you are looking to get into shape I would start with something easier first and then maybe get this DVD.

LOVE IT
love this work out and as i stated in my other review, i have no BARRE stuios in baltimore.. no bar method, daily method, pure barre, NOTHING.. i'm reliant on DVDs and this one is great so far! love it.

Pure Barre: Flatirons Vol. 2: Ballet, Dance, Pilates Fusion Workout

Pure Disappointment
As a regular Pure Barre client, I have come to love the Pure Barre workout in the studio. I bought the Flatirons: 2 DVD with the weighted ball, so I could still lift, tuck, and burn while away from the studio classes. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. The workout is only 32 mins long, not a "45-minute full body workout" like it claims to be. All of the sections are much shorter, and Carrie rushes through the sections. She didn't even include the last section (lying on your back and lifting your seat) as they do in the classes. I expected much, much more from Carrie and Pure Barre. If you are going to sell your products and brand at such a high-dollar, then you need to deliver what you say and what you teach in the classes. I will not buy anymore DVD's and I will think twice about renewing my yearly class pack.

Delivering a good work out...
was a bit skeptical as to how much different this would be to the bar method. It's great with the ball and i wish there were more varieties of DVDs...i'm in a location WITH NO BARRE studios, Baltimore MD. I'm 100% reliant on DVD at this point.. order order order.. good stuff!

Not as intense as the classes
I love pure barre classes - the workouts are challenging and have really helped define/lengthen my muscles. However, the nearest class is a 30 min drive away. So, I can only go 1-2 days/week at best. This video series is great to do in between. They are certainly not as intense as the classes (really only a 30 min workout). But they are great for after work or early in the morning - when a full 60 min regimen is just not feasible.
